The Popsicle that almost Wasn't

It's been a tough week at the LRHS headquarters. The sweet little girl in the picture disappeared last Monday and was replaced by a cute but defiant little alien, sent here to test our parenting skills and our patience by argueing, kicking, hitting, and being generally very poorly behaved. We are going the no-spanking route, and time out hasn't been very effective. She kinda enjoys it, I think. She sits there and sings or talks to herself and has a great time. So, we have to take away priviliges, and take them away we did! The poor kid had almost no fun last week, and neither did we.

Suddenly, Sweet Nice Daphne returned yesterday, and she was finally able to have a popsicle we made several days before (using our cool new popsicle molds I received from a very nice lady in Minnesota). Look at that face! She was good all day, and we all had so much fun.

All is forgiven, Little Peanut! I know it's hard to be two.

yum! what kinds of popsicles? i would love a yummy homemade recipe! (though i need to get the moulds(mold)--don't know how to spell it, first. what a stinker that girl is! we've had to move on to taking away priviliges also. The time outs just enraged her and became exhausting. Taking things away seems to do the trick, most of the time anyway! It's so funny how thier little minds and moods work!
