Hot Hot Heat

It's hot already. It makes me sad that I won't be able to take the Peanut out for a decent stroll until probably at least October. Once again, I will not embrace the heat. But since nobody likes a complainer, I will try not to dwell on it in this blog. As a sign that I mean what I say, here are some good things about summer:

1. Berries
2. No school zones
3. Baseball

Well, that's all I've got.

Lemonade Stands

Hey are you going to blog about the Baby Operating class?

Well, since I grew up without it, I can tell you with complete certainty, the best thing about summer is air conditioning. Now, I'll grant you that air conditioning is not an element of summer, per se, but without it, life would be hell.

I'm right there with you on that "I would not be a good pioneer" thing.

All of the Julie things listed can be done or eaten in spring, fall, and sometimes even "winter", except 4th of July, which isn't that great because no fireworks allowed in the city. I don't run in sprinklers because I will not go barefoot in the grass. Summer just makes me really crabby. I can't help it.

I do love me some homemeade ice cream though. And I try to support local lemonade stands when I see them.

WAY too hot for picnics in Texas during the summer.

Could never never live without AC.

Maybe someday we will get a summer house on a lake in Maine, where there are delightfully cool summer days, loons, and blueberries for miles and miles.

Baby operation class was not really that interesting or blog-worthy. It was good to learn the CPR/choking stuff though.
