Just got home and noticed this sign in the empty lot that used to hold the house across the street. If you click on the photo, it will get bigger, and you can read all about the McMansion that is coming soon. I think Kev and I may need to discuss the possibility of moving.

Hope their visitors don't think the neighbor's house is the guard shack.
I hate to say it, but that house doesn't look that bad. It actually looks like the Tudors in the area. That said, that house belongs across Skillman on Lakewood Boulevard where 3,800 square foot houses of that style are common. It doesn't need to be dwarfing all of the fine 1,500 square foot Craftsmans in your neighborhood.
This is what city planning is all about. Dallas should try some in residential areas.
It's handy that they include the floorplans, to facilitate burglaries.
