This makes me really angry.

Me too. Elizabeth Newman lives on my street. For a while, she was even block captain.

That is soooo sad!

Tell Elizabeth Newman that john_clarke does not care for her or her kind.

Be careful, she might dispatch a bulldozer to your house for making such a remark.

Someone needs to write a reggae protest song about this, mon.

Elizabeth Newman
What are ya doin'
You tear down houses in our neighborhood
Build a fortress where a home once stood
I'd like to kick your ass, yes you know I would
Now why don't you leave us alone

Elizabeth Newman
Who are ya foolin'
We're not impressed by your diamond rings
Your fancy car or your rich lady things
You have the money and the power it brings
Now why don't you leave us alone

etc.

It just so happens I have a reggae guitar part already in mind, if someone wants to take a crack at the vocals. I can't pull it off...I'm too whitebread.

K,

I'm game for the vocs; I'm half Scandinavian and half Japanese -- is that non-whitebread enough?

But it would have to be in 2006; busy at the moment.

Great! We're going to need an extra long mic cable though. And we'll probably have achieved total Newmanization by then. Resistance is futile.

I will gladly sing that song --- with passion and authority and a passable Kingston patois.

Can't wait to hear the rasta vocal stylings of john_clarke. I'll get to work on the song.
