Sucked In

Was strolling through the greatness of Super Target on Saturday and spied the new Harry Potter - on sale. So I got it. Was up past 11 last night reading (normal bed-time: 9:30), istead of flipping through channels. I am on Ch.18. I'm with Robert's good that there is something out there getting kids to want to read. (And apparently some grown-ups, too.) It's no Nick Hornby, but it's pretty good.

UPDATE: Have finished the book. It was very good, very dark. When's the next one?

I haven't read any of them yet- but have all the movies. I was talking to my neice last night about them- she has already finished the new one- I am so tempted to start reading the books- but am debating if I start at the first one or just start at the 4th since I have seen the first 3 movies. Since I have to wait until Oct. 25 for Patricia Cornwell's next book to come out- I need something good to read till then.

You should read them all. The first three are short. I have them (I think, unless I let someone borrow them) are welcome to read them.

I personally think the new Nick Hornby book stinks. I have abandoned it on page 152. As for H.Potter, my son and I just finished book 1. I can't wait for him to get older so we can read the others.
